Brett and Indigo launched Net Profit Bookkeeping as a husband-and-wife team with a shared vision: to build a business that supports small business owners with dependable financial clarity, while creating a life of flexibility and purpose for themselves.
After working in their own service businesses (Brett is a handyman and offers on-site computer tech support, while Indigo operated a housecleaning business), they saw the opportunity to combine their strengths in a service that genuinely helps others—clean, accurate, worry-free bookkeeping and payroll. Their goal is to grow a white-glove client-centered practice that provides professional support with a personal touch, allowing their clients to thrive while they themselves pursue a lifestyle rooted in faith, freedom, integrity, and meaningful work.
In their personal time, they enjoy their two feline "kids," Persimmon and Periwinkle, and both are very active in their church community.

Before starting his own businesses, Brett served his native (Portland) Oregon community for nearly 20 years as a 9-1-1 calltaker and dispatcher at the state’s second-largest emergency communications center. That experience shaped his calm-under-pressure approach, attention to detail, and deep commitment to service. After transitioning into entrepreneurship—first through his consulting and then his handyman and tech support business—Brett launched Net Profit Bookkeeping to bring that same level of calm, clear, and confidence to small business owners in Kailua-Kona, Waimea (Kamuela), Hilo, Hawaii and abroad. He now leads operations, handles client accounts, and builds efficient financial systems that help clients gain clarity and control over their numbers.
